The Designated Institutional Official (DIO), Institutional Coordinator (IC), Program Director (PD), or Program Coordinator (PC) can replace the Director of Osteopathic Education (DOE) contact for those programs that have Osteopathic Recognition in ADS. Replacing a DOE will disable their ADS access. An auto-generated email notification containing the new DOE's username and password will be sent after saving the record. The new contact information is immediately reflected in ADS and on the public ACGME website.
To update the Director of Osteopathic Education:
- Log into the ADS account with the DIO, IC, PD or PC login.
- As the DIO or IC, first navigate to the Sponsored Programs tab and locate the program profile where you'd like to replace the DOE, and from the Program tab select View Program. From the Program view, go to the Program Leadership section. Then from the program profile, all users may navigate to the profile’s Program tab > Program Profile, and go to the Program Leadership section.
- On the former DOE record, click Replace.
- Follow prompts to add/update information. The intended DOE must already be on the Faculty Roster in order to appoint them as DOE.
