Blackout weeks are a set of weeks selected by an Institution indicating sets of days in which the Institution, most notably the designated institutional official (DIO) and chief executive officer (CEO), is not available for a CLER Site Visit. CLER Site Visit protocol requires the DIO and CEO to participate in an initial and exit meeting for the CLER Site Visit.
Institutions must select Blackout Weeks in five-day blocks, Monday through Friday. When a member of an Institution selects a Blackout Week, clicking on one date in the Blackout Date calendar will select the entire week of the selected date.
